About pre-debut

I always wanted to be a singer. But in Busan, I did not have any chance to be one. In my secondary school years, I became taller and started to have confidence in my looks. So I casted in audition and became one of the trainees in my company.

Trainee days

During my trainee days, I missed my parents so much. I wanted to meet my grandfather, grandmother and my parents. But the members encouraged me , so I am very thankful to them.

Stage name

In Japanese, ”Ren” is name of very beautiful flower (Lotus) . My company decided on this name because they wanted me to work hard and blossom like very beautiful flower in entertainment industry. People say that this name really suits me.

School days

Actually, I was an ordinary student who slept during class. During my secondary school years, I was pretty famous and while my classmates prepared to university entrance exam, I was just sleeping. I don’t know, but I think I slept because I used to brag about my popularity. When I was in elementary school, I used to catch frogs with my friends. Sometimes I wish I can go back to that time.

Debut song “FACE”

Of course I want all of you to pay attention to my part of the song. I have this part that says “거기 다쳐 멀리 비켜 다쳐” and I hope if you can listen to it thoroughly. But when we dance, I have to get along with my members and not just stick to my part, so it was pretty hard for me. But we practiced a lot.

Pre debut time 

I actually did not think that I would be a singer.  When an audition was held in Jeju, my friend wanted to participate and I accompanied him. At the audition, a representative saw me and asked “Do you want to become singer?”. Since then, I had a dream of becoming singer and started practicing.

Trainee days

I used to sleep a lot since my trainee days. if get to sleep, I don’t really pay attention to surroundings and will not wake up even if someone hits me. Even if we practice until late at night, I had to attend classes next morning but I can’t really hear my alarm clock. That’s why I really hard time in the mornings.

High school years

JR and I are classmates and only celebrities at school. We are pretty famous at our school, but since I had to appear on TV and practice, we do not attend our classes recently. And our tables and chairs are in the back row, which means that people will pay attention if you are in class, but the sad thing is that if you are not present, people will never really care. When I was in school back in Jeju, the sight from the window was very beautiful.  So during the class, I would look at sea through window and after the class, I would go to seashore to play with my friends.  At first I did not like Seoul because it was different from my hometown and I could not see the sea. But now, I am quite used to it.

Debut song, “FACE”

Our choreography includes moves with chair. It was our boss’s idea and meaning behind it is that “we oppose bullying at school”. I will appreciate if you pay attention to the dance. In the last part, we have to spin the chair, and since it was his idea, he made us to do it perfectly. Actually, it does not spin so easily. We had little time before TV broadcast, so it was quite hard for us.

Birth place : Gangwon-do < I am from countryside *laugh*>

Family : Father, mother, two older sisters

Role model : I really admire Big Bang seniors. They have charisma and seems like they have fun on stage. So I am inspired by them.

Height : 178 cm

Weight : 58kg

Shoe size : 26cm

Before debut : I was just an ordinary student back in Gangwondo, and one day agency representative scouted me. At first, my father thought that it was scam and was completely against it, but soon after I talked to my father and told that I really wanted to be a singer, he supported me.

Trainee days

First of all, it was very hard to dance. I was very slow at learning dances, and often spent more time to practice dance. I did not really know how to control my body, but now I enjoy dancing!

Stage name 

Our boss gave me this name and it means “Junior royal”. It has meaning of “small” too. People say that I am very ordinary in real life, but very charismatic on stage. That’s why they decided on this name. 

High school life

I was not famous at all and was very ordinary student. I like sports and shopping, but i am not the type who likes to be in the center on crowd. In the school, I am very obedient student. When I was in elementary school, I used to climb on school borders. There are times when you have fun no matter what you do, right? And I would paint funny faces on each other’s face with my friend. Childhood memories are always very pure.

Our band is inspired my new genre of music which is named “Dubstep”. It is new type of music and has performance which fits the genre. I would like you to pay attention to it. The hardest thing to do was to match our moves in the performance. We had receive advice from our trainers and do lot of practice. But now, we can do it together. I am looking forward to show our next title song to you.

Birth place :  U.S.A L.A, I was born and raised in America. I came to Korea 9 months ago. That’s why I am living here by visa!

Family : father, mother, 2 little sisters. That means I am the oppa. *laugh*

Role model : Lee-Jok senior. when I came to Korea, my vocal trainer said that I have similar voice with Lee-Jok sunbae. That’s why I got to listen to his songs more.

Height : 176 cm

Weight : 59kg

Shoe size : 26.5 cm

Before debut

I participated in audition back in 2009 and won 1st place. I signed with my company at that time, but I had to graduate my high school in L.A and went back to my hometown. Soon after graduation, I came to Korea.

Trainee days

When came to Korea, I did not understand Korean at all. That was the hardest obstacle. But the members helped me a lot and by living with them, I learned Korean pretty well.

Stage name

Three of us has stage name, but Aron is my real name. I love my name and I did not have to pick nick name. Minhyun also uses his real name and I think his name suits his image too.

High school life

I attended boys high school, so I did not have any chance to meet girls. But I think I was famous around other high schools. I hope so…. *laugh* My grades were pretty good and I was accepted to one of the prestigious universities. But I was determined to become singer and came to Korea. I was happy at my graduation ceremony, but on the other side I was sad because I had to leave U.S. Actually, before leaving, I wanted to have fun with my friends.

I really want you to pay attention to new type of music “Dubstep”. I did not really have difficulty with dance practice, but singing and dancing at the same time was really hard. That’s why we practiced a lot.

Role model : Big bang seniors. When they are on stage, it looks like they are playing with their fans. I think they are very handsome.

Weight : 62 kg

Before debut

I was scouted when I was going back home from school. It happened suddenly, but actually I wanted to be a singer since I was child.

Trainee days

Because I love singing, it was not hard for me. I did my vocal trainings with enthusiasm. Actually at first, I really did not understand the awesomeness of dancing. I started to dance since I became trainee. The dance lessons were difficult, so it was only thing which was hard for me. But now, I have fun while singing and dancing.

Stage name

I requested to have my real name as stage name because I thought that it really suits my image. Since no other idol singer has this name, the company approved my name. I can’t really think of any other name.

High school days

since I get really tired from my dance and vocal lessons, I usually fall asleep. *laugh* When I arrive at my high school in the morning, I greet my teachers and fall asleep. *laugh* My teacher knows that I am in the music industry and understands me. One day, when I was in secondary school, I was eating instant noodles outside the school with my friend during the class session. My teacher caught us and scolded us so badly that I was very disappointed with myself. I think I was very hungry at that time. *laugh*

I hope you can listen to my charismatic voice. Also, the choreography with chair was very troublesome because spinning the chair was extremely difficult. Since doing mistake on stage is unforgivable, we practiced a lot.
